Arianespace’s Vega rocket launched on its third mission of the year with the Capacité de Renseignement Électromagnétique Spatiale (CERÉS) 1, 2, and 3 satellites for the French space agency Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES). Vega lifted off on November 16, at 6:27 AM Kourou time (09:27 UTC).
The 12th launch by Arianespace in 2021, the Vega light launcher will lift off, for the third time this year, from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana, on November 16, 2021.
A European Vega rocket lifted off Monday night from French Guiana carrying an Earth observation satellite and four miniature “cubesats”.
The Vega rocket conducted its nineteenth launch of Europe’s small lift vehicle, the second Vega launch of 2021, as well as the seventh Arianespace mission of the year. Arianespace flight VV19 lifted off from the ELV launch pad at the Guiana Space Centre in French Guiana on Monday, August 16, at 10:47 PM local time (01:47 UTC on August 17).
